Meet Our Coordinators
Kamon Reynolds - Expo Founder
About Kamon
Kamon is the co-founder of the North American Honey Bee Expo. He started keeping bees as a teenager, and to this day, his favorite work is maintaining healthy hives and talking shop with fellow beekeepers. He and his wife of 14 years, Laurel Reynolds, co-run the Expo and all their beekeeping operations.
Together with their children, Kathleen and Jimmy, they manage 200 hives, homeschool, and enjoy the outdoors. When not working bees, Kamon loves snorkeling, gardening, reading anything Lord of the Rings, and joking around with his kids and team. His goal for the Bee Expo is to keep bringing energy, innovation, and joy to beekeepers across North America.

Laurel Reynolds - Expo Founder
About Laurel
Laurel is the co-founder of the North American Honey Bee Expo. Married to Kamon for 14 years, she’s equal parts chief encourager and voice of reason—especially when his big ideas need a little grounding. At the Expo, Laurel is the go-to person for everything from merchandise to ticketing and name tags, helping attendees feel welcomed and informed from the moment they arrive.
Outside the Expo, Laurel loves the outdoors and is often chasing critters, hoping Kamon will let her bring one home. She’s a passionate home cook and gadget-loving baker, always whipping up something delicious. She also homeschools their two children, Kathleen and Jimmy, and has been in the bee yards alongside Kamon since before they were married.

Chris Madaras - Bee Expo Chief Coordinator
About Chris
Chris helps plan and execute the Bee Expo at the highest level and works full-time for the event. He also keeps a few beehives in Ohio. Outside of work, he’s a father, husband, and amusement park enthusiast. He first got involved with the Bee Expo four years ago after reaching out to Kamon, bringing a background in event planning, management, and web and graphic design.
He’s passionate about learning more about beekeeping and helping the Expo grow each year. A fun fact: he once dressed up as a ketchup bottle at a minor league baseball game and was tackled by the mascot during a race! This year, he’s especially excited to see the latest tech in the industry and hopes every attendee leaves with new knowledge—and a few new friends.

Jeremy Lindsey - Tradeshow Coordinator
About Jeremy
Jeremy is the Trade Show Coordinator for this year’s Bee Expo. He’s also the Chief Facilities Maintenance Engineer at The Black Fox Lodge Tapestry Collection by Hilton. He first got involved with the Expo four years ago after Kamon and Laurel posted a video while visiting family in Jeremy’s hometown of Dandridge, Tennessee. A simple comment led to a visit—and an invitation to help out at Hive Life. He’s been a part of the team ever since, learning and evolving each year.
Jeremy is passionate about his faith, his family, and life on his small homestead—whether he's in the barn, working in the pasture, or raising egg-laying chickens. He enjoys beekeeping (most days!) and once won a blue ribbon for his clear honey at the second conference. One of his favorite parts of the Expo is the fellowship and friendships it creates. He hopes every attendee finds value, inspiration, and some great deals while they’re here.

Cory Dippold - Sponsorship Coordinator
About Cory
Cory is the Sponsorship Coordinator for this year’s Bee Expo. Outside of the event, he serves as the Education Coordinator for the Franklin County Coroner’s Office in central Ohio. He got involved in the Expo through his friend Chris Madaras and has enjoyed stepping into a world that's completely new to him—bringing a fresh perspective and a willingness to learn.
A former firefighter and EMT, Cory is passionate about building connections and loves watching a wide range of sports. This year, he’s especially excited to welcome representatives from new sponsors and show them what makes the Expo special. He hopes all attendees walk away with meaningful connections and new insights into the beekeeping world.

Debi Reynolds - Next-Gen Coordinator
About Debi
Debi coordinates all aspects of the Next Gen Bee Program, from administrative work to onsite support for students and their parents or guardians. She loves leading the program and sees it as a meaningful way to support the next generation of beekeepers by helping them grow in confidence, knowledge, and passion.
Her connection to beekeeping began when Kamon started keeping bees at age 14. Since then, she’s enjoyed using honey in recipes—especially her family-favorite honey wheat bread. When not supporting the Expo or baking in the kitchen, Debi enjoys time with her family, especially her five grandchildren.
