NAHBE Honey Bar

The NAHBE Honey Bar is a curated tasting experience showcasing the diversity of honey produced across North America. As participation allows, the Honey Bar may also feature honeys from other regions of the world, grouped under an “All Other” designation. Attendees are invited to sample honeys from a variety of regions and floral sources in a clean, educational, and non-competitive setting.
Unlike the Honey Show, the Honey Bar is not judged and does not include scoring or formal feedback. It is simply an opportunity to taste, explore, and appreciate the wide range of flavors, colors, and characteristics found in honey.

What to Expect

  • A curated display of honeys from across North America

  • A variety of floral sources and regional characteristics

  • Single-use tasting utensils for clean, safe sampling

  • An educational and exploratory tasting experience

  • No judging, scoring, or competition

How the Honey Bar Is Different from Other Honey Events at NAHBE:

Honey Show
A formal, judged competition where entries are evaluated against established standards and receive scores and awards.

Honey Swap
An informal exchange where beekeepers trade honey directly with one another.

Honey Bar
A tasting display focused on exploration and education, open to attendees, with no judging or awards.

Who Can Participate

The Honey Bar welcomes contributions from beekeepers of all experience levels, including backyard and sideline beekeepers. Honeys are selected to represent as many regions and varietals as possible.
